BCECA leadership
BCECA is governed by a small Board supported by an advisory Council made up of representatives from all member companies. This provides effective strategic leadership, direction, challenge, support, guidance and fiscal oversight to the organisation.
The Annual General Meeting appoints the Chair who serves for a period of two years, renewable for up to a further two years. The Chair is supported by three elected representatives drawn from the Association’s membership plus two independent members who have been selected for their knowledge and expertise.
BCECA’s day to day affairs are managed by a Chief Executive who is also a full member of the Board. The current Chief Executive is Tracey Shelley who joined BCECA from the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board in 2013.

Managing Director E&C UK & Europe for Engineering, responsible for developing and overall running the UK Engineering teams. The focus is both the UK and International Markets for Energy Transition/ Low Carbon and traditional Energy Projects.
Nicola Grieve

Senior Vice President of Project Resources and Methods for Aker Solutions globally and a Director of Aker Solutions Ltd. Nicola is responsible for the strategic delivery of engineering, procurement and project services resources, supporting our global project portfolio across the oil and gas and renewables sectors. Nicola is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
Gabriel Jones
DirectorAker Solutions
As a Process Engineer at Aker Solutions, Gabriel is responsible for concept design and engineering of processing plants, with a particular focus and interest on Carbon Capture and Hydrogen conditioning facilities. Gabriel also acts as the Chair of BCECA’s Young Engineer’s Committee, and is working his way towards chartership with the IChemE.
Andrew Amos

Andrew served as a Director, President, Vice Chairman and Vice President of the Tank Storage Association (TSA) from 2009 – 2019. He also served as President and Treasurer of the Federation of European Tank Storage Associations (FETSA) from 2015 -2018.
Tracey Shelley

BCECA’s Chief Executive and Company Secretary, Tracey manages the implementation of the Association’s strategy and business plan and acts as its chargé d’affaires and primary point of contact in London.
Our Council
Every BCECA member company is represented on the Council, which provides a regular forum for discussion, review, development, lobbying, representation and update on matters of common interest. The Council also provides oversight for BCECA’s Standing Committees and Knowledge Networks.
