Robert is Head of UK & Western Europe at Bechtel Enterprises, the project development and financing arm of Bechtel, based in London. He is responsible for advancing major infrastructure and energy investments from early-stage development through to financial close.
He has over 30 years’ experience in project and structured finance, with a particular focus on energy, infrastructure and industrial sectors. His expertise spans the key stages leading to Final Investment Decision, including commercial structuring, risk allocation, bankability and financing strategy. He combines strong financial discipline with a practical understanding of engineering, delivery and stakeholder alignment.
Prior to Bechtel, Robert spent 20 years at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), where he led oil, gas and petrochemicals project finance in Europe, advising on a broad range of energy and infrastructure transactions.
