Associate membership

Who can join?

Associate membership of BCECA is available to consultancies and vendors in the UK. Companies registered in the UK with more than 15 personnel providing conceptual or niche specialist technical consultancy services to the process and energy sectors are welcomed to apply for membership. Applications from vendors with a demonstrable track record of partnership and project delivery with EPC contractors are also eligible for Associate Membership.

 

Associate Member companies undertake to abide by BCECA’s policies and procedures, to support the Association’s objectives and to abide by all lawful decisions taken by the BCECA Board, Council and Committees.

Benefits of Associate Membership

Associate Members may send representatives to all BCECA committees, working groups and special topic meetings with the exception of Council. Representatives may attend, participate or take on leadership roles and have full access to all documentation and reports.

 

Associate Members also play a full role in BCECA’s undergraduate liaison work. Early-career engineers from BCECA member companies lead outreach activities, including annual industry day events at university engineering departments across the UK.

 

In addition, Associate Member Companies can:

 

  • Contribute to, and access BCECA’s industry reports, including the highly regarded annual salary survey (conditions apply)
  • Add their expertise and influence to BCECA’s advocacy and government affairs work on critical issues affecting the engineering contracting sector
  • Invite named individuals within other BCECA member companies to networking events
  • Publicly identify themselves as a BCECA Associate member including a listing and company link on this website
  • Nominate representatives to relevant BSi Standards Committees

Fees

Associate annual membership costs £5,500 for the year 2023-24. Introductory discounts may be available. From year two onwards, twelve months’ notice of resignation must be given.

 

Associate Members meeting the criteria for full membership may be invited to upgrade at the end of their first year. Introductory discounts to Full membership may be available. From year two onwards, twelve months’ notice of resignation must be given.
